County Data For the British Isles

See also County-Centoid in CSV or XML format.
When grid_id column is 1 the e,n columns are OSGB36 easting/northing, when 2 is Irish Grid.

The following are the borders in plain text format in WGS84 Lat/Long, (eg to import into GSAK), you can download just the counties you are interested in, or use the zip files below to download groups of files (please use the ZIP if want multiple files, as compression will save both our bandwidths).

  • In particular I'm aware there is a small shift, about 500m accross most of the data, I cant figure out the reason for this... (when plotted at www.gpsvisualizer.com).
  • With my own plotting of the data in OSGB36 format it appears to match very well with other sources of coastline data... (the OSGB36 => WGS84 Lat/Long conversion was performed by my own script)
